What is Success?
Success is that which will make you and those you love happy and satisfied. When you do what makes you feel good, you will make others happy, too. Success is in having the time to do what you love.
For many people, reaching success means starting or changing careers. People in many different fields accomplish success on different paths. If you are committed to making your life better, a few of these 30 challenges may be right for you.
What does a successful life look like?
The above question took me a long time to answer. After a few failed attempts, I finally realized what successful living is all about, and why I need to be successful.
A happy life is not always achieved. If you want to have a happy life, you need to be successful at something. If you want to be successful, you need to be happy.
Not only does a happy life require being successful, but a successful life also requires being happy.
There is an old saying that “happiness is a journey”, and that is the truth.
When you start to develop a new skill or learn new lessons, you start to see the world in a different way. You also start to realize how to react in certain situations, and you start to see how lucky you are to be in your situation.
Why you need to be successful
Why am I recommending that you “do nothing” for 30 days?
There are many people who are living a very successful life, but they don’t have a very happy or rewarding life. They spend too much time in their comfort zone, and they are not successful at anything.
You’ll miss opportunities. If you’re not careful, you might miss out on great opportunities that could change your life.
It can change everything about your life if you want it to. The author wrote, “Successful people are very busy. They have lots of distractions. They are busy going places they never dreamed of going. It takes lots of time, money, and effort to succeed.”
Nowadays, there are so many distractions and things that people enjoy doing. Some people find it difficult to do some of the things they used to enjoy doing before they became successful.
So, here are some of the reasons why you need to be successful in life.
- It Makes You Wealthy
Being successful in life is nothing more than a life filled with happiness and contentment. Happiness and success go hand in hand. Both of them are what everyone desires in life.
- It Increases Your Quality of Life
You can achieve a lot of things in life when you are successful. You can get a lot of money to help you live the life you want to live.
- It Makes You Happy
Having a positive mindset to succeed and overcoming your own obstacles makes you happy.
Failure
Failure is an essential part of the process. It helps you identify what’s working and what’s not working. It gives you better insight into your business, and it helps you build a better business plan for your future.
Most importantly, it helps you come up with a plan to be more successful. To stay true to your passion and reach your goals, you must start every day with that strong motivation to be successful. You must be able to challenge yourself. Challenge yourself to try something new everyday.
You’ve already got the willpower to be successful. This challenge is focused on what makes the difference. There’s no time to waste. Start taking action now.
Find your motivation
What is your source of motivation? Have you found your dream career? Do you want to be successful? Does your success contribute to your happiness and fulfillment? Or does it simply mean more time to do the things you love?
Whatever it is, you must find your motivation.
What is the end result you are trying to achieve? What is the goal you have set for yourself? Write down your goal.
Once you know your goal and have chosen a step to help you reach it, put some actionable steps into place to practice the habit change.
The next step is the challenge of getting out of your comfort zone and doing something new that’s challenging and life changing. Most people who make New Year’s resolutions quit before the second week.
You’ll only need a few days to get used to the idea of change and feel good about yourself, so the stress of failure won’t be as overwhelming.
Start small, and put the accomplishments in the back of your mind. Focus on one small thing at a time and then do it again and again until it becomes a habit.
Remember that after a few weeks, your success should be apparent and begin celebrating.
Find an expert mentor
There’s nothing like a mentor to show you the ropes. If you’ve got a college degree, ask your academic adviser if they’ll set you up with a veteran to help you get your career off the ground.
If you’ve got an idea and don’t know where to start, reach out to startups for help.
Create a plan for success
When you’re on your way to success, don’t try to do it all at once. A short term goal is a big breakthrough. Take inspiration from the new year and decide what your next big step will be.
Don’t just set up a plan, follow through on the plan. It doesn’t matter how good it sounds. Set a goal that you will feel excited about doing. You might be surprised that it doesn’t require a ton of money or a lot of time, but the main point is to feel like you’re achieving something. Do what it takes to achieve your goal every day.
The ultimate measure of success is change. Everyone is successful, no matter what their occupation or field of interest is.
Working with Your Success Team
The steps you take in this plan will require some accountability, because, for many of us, it’s not enough just to say we want to be successful. We have to create something real, and this plan will help you do just that.
Create or assemble a “success team” – a group of people who know you and the type of success you are looking for. The team will be your “big league” support team and people who will hold you accountable.
Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
How are you supposed to achieve success when you are never comfortable? Unless you are spending your life trapped in your comfort zone, you know there are a lot of people who can do it and many of them do it and are very successful.
Most people get comfortable in their little bubbles of life. For example, most people are only comfortable in their neighborhoods. In order to become successful, you need to get out of your comfort zone.
What you should really be is the opposite of successful — successful is making mistakes or not doing anything.
Great things are built from small steps and as you challenge yourself to do better each day, you will find yourself accomplishing great things.
You don’t have to commit to a business or investment, but why not join me in some of the small steps that will get you out of your comfort zone and lead you to success?
Be consistent and avoid distractions
Start with your morning and do the challenge that makes you happiest. Since success depends on routines, consistency and motivation, pick one thing you can accomplish first thing in the morning.
Start by starting the day with 10 minutes of exercise, focus on one small task, or go for a run and listen to a song that gives you motivation.
Recording your goal, how you’re feeling, how you’re coming to terms with it, what you need to do and where you see yourself in six months will inspire you to take action.
Keep a commitment journal on the computer. You can keep a daily journal and a weekly journal, with categories such as “Ten Things I’m Thankful For” or “Ten Things I’m Excited About.
Stop Sabotaging Yourself
When you feel yourself quitting, stop!
Remind yourself that you can succeed. The enemy is your own mind. It will try to sabotage any goal, and if you stay focused on it, it will keep succeeding against you.
Keep Your Expectations in Line
It’s okay to expect something to be difficult, but if you keep comparing yourself to the person next to you or someone you wish you were, you’ll never get there.
Believe In Yourself
Even when the voice in your head is saying that you’re a fool for trying, keep believing in yourself and you’ll eventually reach your goal.
Read the best books and articles on success, then make notes. Anything that inspires you. Every day, read a little bit more. You’ll be amazed at how much you can learn from just 10 minutes.
Quit Social Media for 30 Minutes
It’s easy to spend hours each day on social media. Maybe you want to spend it with your family, on hobbies, exercising or keeping up with news.
Or maybe you just like to keep an eye on your favorite celebrities. In this month-long challenge, you’ll give yourself a new goal every day.
In order to achieve success, you’ll have to stand up to your comfort zone. You’ll need to stop using social media or doing any other activity that requires you to be online. It’s time to get up and get moving.
Take a Money Challenge
Many of us focus on saving money. But how much time do you spend actually putting it into a savings account?
By starting a monthly challenge, you can spend more time actually putting your money away. That’s why it’s time to take a money challenge.
Be Honest With Yourself
Ask yourself this question: Am I good enough?
If you know that you are not enough, you are stuck. And if you know that you are not good enough, you will always strive to be.
But the truth is that most of us are good enough, and to be good enough, we have to be honest with ourselves.
The worst thing you can do is pretend that you are perfect. If you need to work on something, be honest with yourself about your skills and capabilities, and if you feel inadequate, so what?
It’s ok. Nobody’s perfect. It will hurt for a while, but you will be glad you took the risk. Nobody is a born success. You have to earn it.
Stop Complaining
Instead of complaining about your job or your commute, how about finding something positive to focus on?
If you are a customer service rep or a retail associate, find ways to be helpful to your customers. If you are going through a divorce, how about focusing on making a fresh start by thinking positive thoughts.
For us bloggers and entrepreneurs, how about posting positive articles and quotes to your social media pages? Be positive and productive for 30 days. It’s the secret to success.
Write down your Top 10 Regrets. Then, Choose One and Fix It
Regrets are never fun, but it’s part of life. I have some regrets. I regret that I never went back to my old school to be a teacher.
I regret that I didn’t go on to college. I regret that I didn’t take that risk and try to write that book. One of the worst things you can do is to keep replaying your regrets for the rest of your life. But, regret can make you go on to make a change.
What if you could choose one regret to resolve and it would change your life? What if you could follow that regret and fix it?
I did. For the last year, I have focused on one regret and it’s made all the difference in my life.
Today, I have completed one of my biggest goals. I am a Certified Personal Trainer. I’m a Coach. I was a business owner and I was also a trainer and health and wellness coach.
Tell Yourself You Deserve Success Every Morning When You Wake Up
You probably already know the importance of a positive attitude, but it doesn’t stop there. Success is achieved because of effort, action, and persistence.
These are all characteristics of people who succeed. You deserve to be successful, but you’ve gotta want it. Don’t base your actions and decisions on what people think.
Your actions will be the indicators for how successful you are. Make sure you say you deserve to be successful every morning when you wake up, even when your alarm clock beeps.
If you wake up thinking you need to be successful, you will be successful.
Conclusion
As you read the things you’re allowed to do to become successful, notice how easy they are to do. Of course, many of them require time, money and discipline, but that’s okay.
